How we help
Sometimes the factors influencing focus, learning, emotional wellbeing and development aren't immediately obvious. Childhood and adolescence are periods of significant growth and development. During this time, nutrition, sleep, gut health, stress and overall wellbeing can all influence how children feel, learn, behave and cope with everyday life.
As a naturopath, I work alongside families to better understand what may be contributing to symptoms and identify areas that may benefit from further investigation. Where appropriate, pathology and functional testing can provide additional insight into factors such as nutrient status, digestive health, immune function and overall wellbeing.
Together, we use this information to create practical, personalised strategies that fit into real life.
Areas of Investigation
• Your child's health history, development and current concerns
• Nutrition, sleep, digestive health and lifestyle factors
• Factors that may be influencing mood, focus, energy and wellbeing
• Nutrient status, gut health and other underlying contributors where relevant
• Pathology and functional testing where clinically appropriate
• Personalised dietary, nutritional, herbal and lifestyle recommendations
• Practical strategies designed to support both your child and your family
A Collaborative Approach
Every child is different, and there is rarely a one-size-fits-all approach.
Consultations explore the broader picture, including nutrition, sleep, gut health, lifestyle factors, emotional wellbeing and overall development. Care is always tailored to the individual, with respect for each family's circumstances, preferences and existing treatment plan. The goal is to provide practical, personalised support that complements your child's current care and supports their overall wellbeing.
Functional Testing
-
Functional testing can provide additional insight into factors that may be influencing your child's health, helping build a more complete picture of what's happening beneath the surface.
Rather than relying on guesswork, testing can help guide more personalised recommendations and targeted support.
-
Many parents feel something isn't quite right but don't know why.
Functional testing may help uncover factors linked to digestive issues, low energy, frequent illness, behaviour, focus, mood and overall wellbeing.
The goal is simple: clearer answers and more informed decisions about your child's health.
-
Depending on your child's needs, testing may include:
• Comprehensive stool and microbiome analysis
• Organic acids testing (OAT)
• Nutritional and pathology testing
• Hair tissue mineral analysis (HTMA)
• Food sensitivity testing where appropriateMany tests can be completed using stool, urine, saliva or hair samples, making them a practical option for children who may be anxious about blood tests or needles.
For Parents
Many parents tell me they feel something isn't quite right, but they're not sure where to start.
You don't need to have all the answers before booking. Together, we'll explore what's going on and create a practical plan that supports both your child and your family.
*I also recognise that parenting can be demanding, particularly when you're juggling work, family and the day-to-day responsibilities of life. Many parents spend so much time caring for everyone else that their own wellbeing takes a back seat. I also offer consultations for parents navigating stress, burnout, fatigue and overwhelm.
